What She Means:
I don’t know the scientific truth to how many guys lose or fail to erect at a completely inopportune moment. And, any woman who uses this line can’t possibly know for sure (unless maybe she’s Paris Hilton and has slept with every guy). She probably said it to try and make you feel better (because we know how closely your ego is tied to your manhood). The truth is, for most women, it matters more how you react to the situation than the actual situation. If you give up, start pouting and walk away with your tail between you legs then she probably will have a problem with it. If you put your needs and ego aside and focus on pleasing her in other ways, then the evening (or whatever) won’t be a complete loss or awkward mess. If your woman does make a big deal, she either just wants you for that which you can’t provide or she’s a bona fide man-eating witch (and you should probably dump her). Another question to consider is not how many guys it happens to, but how often it happens to you. If it’s more often than once in a blue moon, you should consider looking into the emotional of physical cause of the flop factor. It’s not a pleasant thing to deal with, but your body could be telling you that you aren’t healthy in some way and need to fix it. So, fix it.
