5 Top Mistakes in Internet Dating

You tried the Internet dating thing and got rejected. Don’t give up! Most women get a ton of replies to their post or profile and therefore can be very picky when weeding out prospects. Here are five common mistakes you can avoid to improve your odds of scoring the girl.

1. Trading Games:The biggest mistake guys often make is challenging a girl to a game of picture exchange. If you don’t have the balls to put you’re best face forward, then you’ll have to settle for a description of looks or just meet her in person. Most women (at least the good ones) won’t play this stupid game. Never say, “I’ll send a picture if you send one first.”

2. Anonymous Andy:Using the Internet to find a date does allow you to be more discreet. But, it’s not a license to remain completely anonymous. If your email address doesn’t indicate your name, you at least have to sign with a first name.

3. Bad Shot: In the heyday of digital cameras and camera phones, there’s no excuse for not having a good picture to send. The picture should be clear, you should be clothed, make sure to smile and don’t have others in the picture. The girl might not like what she sees, but she definitely won’t like it if you try to conceal the truth.

4. Length and Depth:Unless she’s just looking to hook up or is completely shallow, a woman will want more then just a photo with a one liner. On the other hand, don’t put all your stock in her market. Writing long and well-conceived emails that detail your life story are a waste of time and a little pathetic and weird. Find the middle ground. Start with a paragraph (about 5-10 lines) with your best traits and go from there.

5. Follow Directions:You don’t have to listen when she gives you driving directions or when she tells you about the new outfits she bought when she went shopping all day, but you do have to listen when she described what’s she wants in a man. If you don’t fit the age, race, height, body type, job description, etc that she’s seeking, it doesn’t matter what else you have in common, just foget about it!
