Common Mistakes in Internet Dating

Think wooing a girl through email is easier than over the phone, think again. Internet dating is a great way to meet women, but there are just as many ways to go astray online as when bar hunting. Here are few tips to make sure you remain in the game with Internet dating:

1. Be Honest: It's OK if you're a little embarrassed or tentative about dating online. Most women are too. But if your going to use a non-descript email address like dumbass@yahoo.com, make sure to sign your first name at the end. Completely anonymous posts and emails are often ignored.

2. Ask & Answer: Women, in general, are more paranoid than men. If we ask a question and you neglect to answer, we start wondering why. For example, if I ask what you do for work and don't get a response, I might think: 1. he's unemployed 2. he's a criminal 3. he's a convicted criminal. Men are best served when they don't leave women up to their own imaginations.

3. Too Much Email: Don't put all your chips on the table right away – you'll surely lose her hand! Women like mystery. Men who ramble on or tell their entire life story in the course of the first few emails, won't make it to the in-person encounter. Keep all pre-date emails to ONE screen (Translation: she shouldn't have to scroll down AND you shouldn't be writing more than 100 words).

4. Make a Move: If things are going well over email, IM or phone calls, make a move! Ask to meet her in-person damn it. Women don't go online for virtual relationships and get annoyed with guys who are all about the email and never about the meet and greet.
